Founded in Hackney (you guessed it) by two Italian chefs, Enri and Sam, most of Hackney Gelato's flavours start off as bespoke recipes for London's top restaurants. Their range of dairy gelato and plant based sorbetto has won a total of 31 Great Taste Stars, and is all slow churned in their East London kitchen.
Founded in 2014 by YBF Baking Award Winner Terri Mercieca, Happy Endings' ice cream sandwiches and soft-serve combine modern and traditional techniques to create desserts that are bold in flavour, temper sweetness with savoury, and balance textures. The ice cream is made using The Estate Dairy milk and cream, sourced from dairy cows in the Chew Valley that are raised using sustainable agricultural methods.
Made from entirely natural ingredients, award winning Beau's Gelato is 100% vegan. And that's award winning against dairy brands. Alongside taste, sustainability is a big focus at Beau's; all raw ingredients are fairly traded and they are progressing towards becoming carbon negative with their Planet Mark certification. It's their Chocolate Orange flavour that won us over.
