Product Manager (Proteins)
We are looking for an organised and passionate people-person to focus on supporting the commercial team to acquire, retain and grow customers accounts by matching best products & producers with relevant customer opportunities, and contributing to the strategic development of the wider Supply function.

Founded in 2018, we are based in West London and supported by industry experts and leading venture investors, such as Partech, Frontline and Mustard Seed. We are building a unique food supply model, with greener last mile delivery; sourcing quality ingredients directly from a network of over 1,000 producers and delivering to hundreds of professional kitchens. What you’ll be doing
Managing producer relationships and product data from research through to trading stages
Working closely with the new business and accounts team to offer the best-fit options when it comes to a wide range of factors, such as consistency, provenance, welfare standards and pricing
Developing your knowledge and expertise in protein categories to share market insights related to pricing, sustainability and current trends with the sales team and to promote informed purchasing decisions amongst our customer base
Attending customer meetings with the accounts and new business teams
Managing and coordinating product samples and actioning technical feedback
Contributing to the automation of product options gathering and matching processes
Taking part in the development of supplier-facing Collectiv Food app features and technical tools
Contributing to the strategic growth of the Collectiv Food producer network
Securing fair payment terms with suppliers and negotiating long-term pricing
Working closely with the wider Supply team to track supplier performance
Organising and visiting producer sites
What we’re looking for
You are passionate about food provenance & will enjoy working with food producers to deliver a great experience to our customers
You are a good communicator and are excellent at building trusted relationships with producer partners
You delight in finding solutions to complex problems, matching customers’ meticulous requirements with ethically-sourced, quality products
You’re commercially minded and driven both by the business’s ambitious growth targets and the desire to change food supply for the better
You’re very organised
You’re flexible – you’ll muck in and help with anything
You are entrepreneurial, with a growth mindset, and comfortable with the pace of early-stage environments
You’re proactive and always willing to learn
You’re a good communicator and a team player – you see the team’s success as your own
You have excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data. You take your time to get things right first time
You are passionate about the value of food & the role of technology in building a more sustainable food system

Hybrid office based (Notting Hill Gate, London) and remote working model - whilst you can work from the office five days a week if preferred, you can choose to work up to 2 days a week remotely
