Internship - Producer Team at Collectiv Food

Collectiv Food is London’s fastest growing food supplier, sourcing quality meat, seafood and plant-based products directly from producers and delivering to professional kitchens. We are a team of foodservice professionals and innovators on a mission to deliver the world’s first automated, sustainable and customer-centric food supply service.

With our unique delivery model, automation through tech, and by going direct to the source, we are able to offer market-beating prices and a reliable service, all underpinned by a commitment to sustainability. Finalist of TfL's innovation challenge "London FreightLab", our cleaner, safer and more efficient model minimises the use of heavy and large goods vehicles, reducing both carbon emissions and operational costs.

Collectiv Food works with hundreds of professional kitchens across London, both established and expanding successful brands; we have also launched our own D2C brand, Farmshop, supporting producers who were impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Founded in 2018, we are based in West London and supported by industry experts and leading venture investors, such as Partech, Frontline and Mustard Seed.

Description

The commercial team at Collectiv Food is currently made up of 7 people, and within this the producer team is currently two people. The producer team’s primary responsibilities are to manage and grow the producer network, and to help source the best options for our growing base of customers, driven by our customers’ requirements.   We are looking for an organised and passionate people-person who can help us progress our internal processes and liaise with our network of producers on a regular basis to gather product and producer-specific information.

Responsibilities

You will work primarily on our project of creating a “Product Library” within our recently launched internal “Order Management System”, a software platform that has been built in-house to improve the way we manage customer orders. The development of the Product Library will entail working closely internally with our Tech, Supply Chain and Producer teams. You also will be working on our CRM, Freshsales, to  ensure that accounts are up-to-date and accurate for each of our trading producers.

The work on the Product Library will then lay the foundation for strengthening our producer vetting process. This will require addressing how we can systematically gather key information about producers and products going forward, such as provenance, certifications, pricing, and minimum order quantities, with consideration at which stage each data point should be gathered whilst ensuring accessibility for relevant team members.

Throughout the above project, the main responsibilities will include data management and data entry, as well as day-to-day relationship and product management with our producer network to help our sales team progress new business opportunities.
