New Business Manager


Collectiv Food is a fast-growing next generation food supply business, on a mission to transform how food is accessed and distributed within cities. 

We source quality products at market-beating prices directly from a network of 1,000’s of farms and producers. We own our supply chain from farm to kitchen, ensuring fresher ingredients and consistent delivery to our growing base of customers. We are building an unique, efficient and decentralised food supply model, with a greener last mile delivery (less than 50% CO2e compared with traditional methods). And our customers typically save 5% to 25% on key protein lines, whilst receiving a reliable service that values quality, provenance and transparency.

We work with hundreds of professional kitchens across a diverse set of verticals, including restaurant groups, dark kitchens, meal-kit companies, catering companies, hotel chains and grocery stores. 

Founded in 2018, we are based in West London and supported by industry experts and leading venture investors, such as Partech, Frontline and Mustard Seed.

Our vision is to lead the transition to a fair, transparent and sustainable food supply chain, meeting the demands of the cities of tomorrow. 


We are excited to be searching for a talented and ambitious sales professional to join the organisation, taking joint responsibility for driving growth in the UK market. This role will entail reaching out to foodservice operators, including restaurant groups, cloud kitchens, catering companies, hotel chains and meal-kit companies, and selling the Collectiv Food service & vision to them.

Reporting to the VP Commercial Operations, this role is based in London, with frequent travel to customer sites (where permitted).


  • Build your own pipeline of new business opportunities, to execute on growth plans and meet or exceed agreed sales targets

  • Own and manage the entire sales process from lead to deal, taking ownership of all aspects of the sale, from pitching to drafting compelling proposals to organising samples to negotiating trading agreements

  • Contribute to the development of compelling consultative pitches and presentations using industry knowledge, market trends, and the unique solutions provided through the Collectiv Food platform

  • Work closely with your team members in the sales, marketing and producer teams to source the right contacts, target with effective messaging and align each other’s activities

  • Present needs-based value add solutions and high-quality responses to tenders and RFPs – from contextual understanding through to research approach and pricing

  • Take responsibility for positively building client relationships over time as their trusted go-to advisor in food sourcing and procurement

  • Develop short-term and long-term strategies for client accounts, and deliver on those strategies to build a strong and sustainable pipeline of new business 

  • Develop deep relationships with key influencers in the market to help build a demand for our service with target buyers

  • Manage ultimate profit and loss responsibility for your portfolio of client relationships, and forecast accurately

  • Consistently track activity in our CRM in order to provide the business with key metrics and data.

  • Collaborate with our tight-knit team of producer managers, operations managers, technology engineers and product managers to improve and develop ways of working that better serve our clients 

  • Contribute to the retention and motivation of a talented and high-quality commercial team

  • Work effectively alongside a driven team, dually motivated by building an exciting business and leaving the world a better place than we found it


Skills required:

  • You are likely to be degree educated,

  • With proven experience in a high-performing sales team and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets

  • Entrepreneurial, with a growth mindset, and comfortable with the pace of early-stage environments.

  • You will ideally have experience either selling B2B solutions to corporates or will come from a sales role working within the food service or hospitality sector

  • You have a good working knowledge of Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc

  • You are comfortable formulating and leading on sales pitches with key prospects and customers

  • You have prior experience working with a CRM system, and of extracting and analysing data generated by this

  • You are a natural salesperson, with a love of the craft and the ability to sell ice to eskimos 

  • You are results-driven and can demonstrate how you have delivered effective solutions in a timely manner

  • You are a problem solver, with excellent attention to detail; you take your time to get things right first time

  • You are comfortable taking ownership and accountability for your work whilst working effectively as part of a larger team

  • With excellent communication skills, you are a confident and articulate presenter.

  • You listen attentively and are experienced in building successful relationships at all levels from CEO to junior kitchen staff

  • You are persuasive and personable and find building relationships with your customers enjoyable

  • You have a solid grasp of financial analysis to build clear a business case for your customers

  • You’re adaptable – you’ll muck in and help with anything

  • You’re proactive and always willing to learn

  • You prefer a start-up environment because you want to have an impact


  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience (range: £35K to £50K)
